September 26, 2022 (Oklahoma City, Okla.) –  The Stitt for Governor 2022 campaign announced today the Oklahoma State Fraternal Order of Police’s (FOP) endorsement of Governor Kevin Stitt for re-election.

Under Governor Stitt’s leadership, Oklahoma has seen increased public safety funding and wages, expanded recruitment efforts, and increased law enforcement resources to include new mental health services. Governor Stitt’s strong record of backing the blue and smart on crime reforms will ensure a safe Oklahoma for four more years.

“The Oklahoma Fraternal Order of Police unanimously endorses Governor Kevin Stitt as he seeks re-election,” said Mark Nelson, president of Oklahoma FOP. “His support of law enforcement is unwavering. He has proven that protecting Oklahoma families comes first, and we are proud to stand with him as he makes public safety a top priority.”

Under Governor Stitt’s leadership, he has:

• Signed into law pay increases for correctional officers, highway patrol, and other state public safety employees. 
• Funded three academies to train new public safety professionals for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), reinforcing Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s (DHP) national recruitment effort.
• Established the mental wellness division within the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety (DPS) that will provide mental health services and programs to public safety personnel and their families.
